Polarized B.C. has few three-way election races

With the Conservatives, NDP and Liberals running neck and neck across the country, one would expect a lot of three-way races in B.C.’s 42 ridings. But it turns out B.C. is a polarized place where old habits die hard: Conservatives predominate in the resource-rich Interior; NDPers hold sway in environmentally conscious places that don’t depend on resources; and the Liberals are coming up somewhere in between.
