While it hasn't quite turned into the Millennial version of "Sex & The City" that maybe some predicted, Lena Dunham's "Girls" has certainly marked itself as one of the more distinctive shows about the lives of young women to arrive in recent years. Blunt, funny, moving, and at times controversial, it hasn't always been smooth sailing for the series that isn't afraid to put an unlikeable, selfish character in the lead and double down on those qualities time and again.
