Ban Ki-moon hails Armenia’s giving asylum to migrants

The UN Secretary General expressed concern over the escalation attaching importance to the resolution of the conflict through the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the Armenian presidential press service reports.

The sides have also exchanged opinions on urgent international issues and worrisome events unfolding in the world- new conflicts, growing terrorism and radicalism and escalation of tension in the Middle East.

Ban Ki-moon welcomed and thanked Armenia for giving asylum to migrants from North Iraq and Syria.

The UN Secretary General also stressed the importance of the conference devoted to the global peacekeeping challenges due to be held in Yerevan in near future.
