Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal agrees Old Trafford has lost its fear factor.

United host VfL Wolfsburg in the Champions League this week.

“I don't think players nowadays are impressed by Old Trafford, that is the difference," he said. “They can just push the button on their computers and they can see Old Trafford with the atmosphere.

“It is fantastic to play for the crowd who are so positive and it is the same for the visiting team. I am certain of that.

"The atmosphere United fans make at those games is also very ­positive for the opponents too."
