Pirates beat Cubs to delay playoff party

The Cubs’ party will have to wait.

Gerrit Cole allowed one run in seven strong innings and Michael Morse had the go-ahead single in the seventh to give the Pirates a 3-1 win Friday and keep the Cubs from clinching a playoff spot.
