Surrey man gets six-year term for smuggling heroin into Canada
A Surrey man who tried to smuggle two kilograms of heroin into Canada in a secret compartment in a suitcase five years ago has been sentenced to six years in prison. In July, Hardev Sahota, 37, was convicted after a trial of importing heroin and possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was sentenced on Wednesday in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver.
