Cameron, Hollande call on Syria’s neighbours to take in more refugees

British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President François Hollande agreed on Tuesday (22 September) that European Union leaders should look at ways to help countries neighbouring Syria take in more refugees.

At talks in London on the eve of an EU summit, the two leaders also said EU countries should do more to return migrants to their own countries if they do not have "a genuine claim to asylum", a spokesman for Cameron said in a statement.
