B.C. anglers outraged at sturgeons’ treatment by local fisherman

B.C. anglers are outraged over images posted online showing a man who appears to have lassoed a Fraser River white sturgeon and dragged it onto a river bank. A man identifying himself online as a resident of Yale posted the images to a Facebook page called “Sturgeon Group” on Sept. 11, which has prompted investigations by the B.C. Conservation Officer Service (COS) and Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).
