Child porn accused: minor made advances
A man facing child porn charges has claimed the minor daughter of his mistress tried to join them when they were having sex.
|||Pretoria - A man facing child pornography charges has claimed in court that the minor daughter of his mistress tried to join them when they were having sex.
The Hercules man, 56, told the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court during his bail application on Wednesday that twice while he was having sex with his co-accused, two young girls walked in on them and proceeded to take off their clothes to join them in bed.
One of the minors was the woman’s own daughter and the other presumably the minor’s friend.
“The third time we had sex one girl walked in and started taking off her clothes. The fourth time another girl also walked in,” the man said.
Asked what his reaction was, he said: “I was so shocked, I wanted to get dressed and leave. I told her to put her clothes back on and I also did. Then I left,” he said.
Probed further he revealed that the young girl grabbed his hand and put it on her private parts.
The man is facing six counts of rape, one of sexual assault and one of manufacturing and distributing child pornography.
The police investigation is still ongoing and the man was told he could face more charges.
He testified that he met his co-accused – his mistress – four years ago on a dating site.
Both are married to other people.
They only began being intimate in about June of this year. She then began sending him naked pictures of minors to his phone.
The man testified he was horrified that she sent him naked pictures of little girls and he would immediately delete the pictures. This continued for about two weeks.
Prosecutor Paul du Plessis asked why he did not do anything or go to the authorities when his girlfriend sent him child pornography. He said he should have, but never did.
He described another incident where he was in the presence of naked minors. “My nephew and I went to (the co-accused). There were young girls there. We drank coffee. The children said they had a show for us. They went into a room and came back naked. (The co-accused) said we could take pictures if we wanted to. My battery was low, the red light was already on so I could only take two pictures but they were of bad quality,” he said.
Afterwards, he said, he hugged one girl and told her that she was very beautiful and then he left.
He denied ever asking for the naked pictures or discussing sex with minors prior to his girlfriend sending him pictures of naked minors.
The prosecutor told him that one of the victims will testify that he raped her by penetrating her with one of his fingers, an incident which he denied. Du Plessis also said another victim will testify that the man forced her to masturbate him, a statement he also denied.
He said the co-accused told him she sent naked pictures of minors to people all over the country and someone in Cape Town paid her to send these pictures. He also testified that his co-accused’s minor daughter told his nephew that her cousin once raped her and that her mother rented her out to other men.
The man, in a bid to secure bail, said he would not intimidate the state witnesses nor was he a flight risk.
His wife was also in court and will testify on Friday.
