Gwen Stefani, queen of effortless cool, just got a new 'do that perfectly suits her eccentric self.

The "Spiderwebs" singer showed her 1.7 million Instagram followers her freshly dip-dyed black and bright purple hair on Friday. The bold colors especially pop against her signature platinum blond locks:

On Friday, she and fellow No Doubt bandmates took the stage at Riot Fest in Chicago. The 45-year-old, who recently split from Gavin Rossdale, sang some of the band's most memorable hits, including "Hella Good," "Just A Girl," "Hey Baby" and "Simple Kind of Life."
