Armenian defense minister to leave for Dushanbe
YEREVAN, September 13. / ARKA /. A delegation, headed by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan will leave for Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Monday, the press service of the defense ministry said.
In Dushanbe Ohanyan will attend the joint meeting of foreign and defense ministers as well as the secretaries of the national security councils of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member countries, scheduled for September 15.
The joint meeting will precede the session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
The agenda of the session includes more than 15 issues. In particular, the participants will discuss current activities of the CSTO, priorities of Armenia's chairmanship in the organization. The meeting will also focus on the inspection of the readiness of military contingents of the CSTO collective rapid response forces, the organization of the CSTO collective forces command, the composition and deployment of collective air forces.
The heads of state will consider a draft agreement on cooperation of the CSTO member states in the transportation of military and other units, their movable assets and products for military use. The heads of state will also discuss a number of organizational issues. -0-
