North Van musician rocking out to raise funds for Syrian refugees
A musician with a new album about “enduring love” is opening his heart — and wallet — to help his North Vancouver church bring a family of Syrian refugees to new life in Canada. Singer-songwriter Matthew Moore, 27, will donate proceeds from his upcoming album-release concert to Canyon Heights Church’s Syrian Refugee Project, which was launched two years ago when his father Steve, the church’s lead pastor, learned of the plight of a local businessman’s sister and family.
