FTSE LIVE: Footsie weak amid caution on possible Fed rate move next week, and with UK hike expectations increasing

By mid morning, the FTSE 100 index was 25.1 points, or 0.4 per cent lower at 6,130.7 despite a positive end to the latest session on Wall Street and with Asian markets mostly ending higher today.
