Danny Boyle Says He Wants To Make 'Trainspotting 2' Next

0

For the past few years, a 2016 shoot for the long-developing "Trainspotting 2" has been the goal. A script by longtime Danny Boyle collaborator John Hodge, based on Irvine Welsh's book "Porno," is ready to go and so too is the director. But as he revealed over the weekend at Telluride, where he presented a "work-in-progress" screening of "Steve Jobs" (our review), castmembers are also game to make the sequel. Right now it's all a matter of sorting out calendars.

“All the four main actors want to come back and do it, and so now it is only a matter of getting all their schedules together which is complicated by two of them doing American TV series,” Boyle told Deadline, referring to Robert Carlyle ("Once Upon A Time") and Jonny Lee Miller ("Elementary"). Things probably could've been even trickier had Ewen Bremner's "Banished" not been canceled.

Should all the scheduling work out, the next question to be answered...
