Tanzania’s inflation flat

|||Dar es Salaam - Tanzania's inflation was unchanged at 6.4 percent year-on-year in August compared with the previous month, statistics office said on Tuesday.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said month on month inflation rose by 0.02 percent in August from 0.41 percent in July.
“The speed of price increase in commodities in the year ending August 2015 has increased in the same speed as it was recorded for the year ended July 2015,” said Ephraim Kwesigabo, a director at NBS.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages inflation rate decreased to 10.2 percent in August 2015 from 10.6 percent in July, NBS said in a statement.
Food is the biggest driver of prices in the east African nation among the basket of goods and services used to measure inflation.
