Armenian prime minister calls for settlements in rubles within EEU
YEREVAN, September 8. / ARKA /. Speaking at a meeting of prime ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member countries in Belarus Armenian prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan suggested that these countries shift to settlements in rubles when trading strategic goods and abandon the dollar peg.
The next meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union may be held in Yerevan. This was announced by prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan at the meeting of heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union in Grodno, Belarus.
"Dear colleagues, I express the willingness of Armenia to host the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union in Yerevan", he said, according to Tass. Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev said they were ready to consider this proposal.-0-
