Primark-owner Associated British Foods says strong pound and falling sugar prices has had bigger-than-expected impact on profits

The firm behind Kingsmill bread, which saw £30m wiped off earnings from the strong dollar, managed to offset this impact through cost savings which left its forecast for the year unchanged.
