Elle Fanning, Olivia Cooke, And Lola Kirke On Shortlist For Steven Spielberg's 'Ready Player One'

It looks like "Me And Earl And The Dying Girl" star Olivia Cooke's agent is working overtime. He's already landed his client on the shortlist for Rian Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII," and he's also put Cooke on the radar for another big movie from one of Hollywood's most legendary directors.

The Wrap reports the Cooke, Elle Fanning, and "Mistress America" star Lola Kirke for "Ready Player One." The Zak Penn ("X-Men: Last Stand," "The Avengers") penned adaptation of Ernest Cline's novel takes place in a futuristic virtual world, where pop culture puzzles are the key to power and fortune. The actresses are in the running to play Art3mis, who is the avatar of Samatha Cook in the story.
