Levon Aronian wins Sinquefield Cup

The Armenian GM played to a tie with Veselin Topalov (BUL) in the last round and won the Cup with six points.

He was ahead of the rest by one point. World champion Magnus Carlsen (NOR) and Hikaru Nakamura (USA) won the second and third places with five points.

Aronian was failing over the past period and was playing quite unconfidently in a number of tournaments. This is his first achievement after a long hiatus.
