"Shant-2015” military exercise starts in Armenia

At a briefing at the Department of Defense Policy of the Defense Ministry today the military attachés of foreign companies accredited in Armenia and the representatives of international organizations were informed about the exercise, the press service of the Defense Ministry reported.

“‘Shant-2015’ is a regular exercise and aims to recheck the immediate defense preparedness of the state, the mobilization preparedness of the state and military governing bodies when repulsing aggression and the capability to bring to high degree of readiness, and to raise the harmony of interaction and actions,” reads the press release.

The Defense Ministry noted that considering the military and political situation that has emerged around Armenia and in the adjacent territory, the imaginary rival of the exercise and the situation are fitted to reality to the extent possible.
