The Ronettes — Be My Baby 1963
0
"Be My Baby" is an other production of Phill Spector with his "wall of sound" technic and is widely regarded as one of the crowning achievements of Spector's oeuvre, and of girl–group pop in general. In fact, many critics have deemed it one of the most supremely romantic records of the rock & roll era. The song was composed by Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry and became the biggest success for Veronica Bennett (later known as Ronnie Spector), her older sister Estelle Bennett, and their cousin Nedra Talley, with top ten positions and a #2 in Billboard 100.
