Former Olympian Bryan Clay Pulls His Daughter's Tooth With a Javelin: Crazy Video

It flew like the tooth fairy! Former Olympic decathlon champion Bryan Clay put his athletic talent on display on Tuesday, May 5, when he used a javelin to pull his daughter Ellie's tooth and posted a video of the moment via Twitter.

Clay, 35, a 2008 Summer Olympic decathlon champion, retired in 2012 after failing to make the U.S. Olympic team that year. However, the gold medalist been focusing on parenting his little girl, who is currently at the stage of losing her baby pearly whites in place of grown-girl teeth.

The clip begins with Clay holding a javelin with a long string attached to its end, while the other end of the thread is tied to his daughter's incisor.

"What you use javelins for once you're retired," Clay tweeted on Tuesday, alongside the clip on social media. In the video, his courageous little girl is told to "say goodbye to the tooth!"

"Bye,” Ellie, in a purple shirt and matching headband, bravely replies. Her father then tells her to keep her chin up as he hoists the javelin and throws it across the field. Along with the equipment goes Ellie's tiny tooth.

"It did!" she yelps of the javelin taking her incisor. The little one then shows off the gaping (and, yes, bloody) gap where her fang once was.

Clay followed up with a tweet about the tooth's whereabouts late Tuesday night.
