Britney Spears Explains Terrible Onstage Fall, Extends Las Vegas Residency!

0

Can't keep her down! Britney Spears is back on her feet after suffering an ugly onstage fall, and she hobbled in a walking boot all the way to Ellen DeGeneres' California talk show set to make a surprise appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The pop star, 33, shocked DeGeneres' studio audience when she dropped in on the episode, which already had Jamie Foxx lined up as a guest. Spears managed to pull off the bulky boot, pairing the cast with a figure-hugging black long-sleeved dress.

The "Pretty Girls" singer laughed at herself, watching video of the cringeworthy moment on April 29 when she completely lost her footing in the middle of a performance.

"I actually wasn't doing anything that hard," Spears told DeGeneres. "I was just kind of bopping around, and I've done like eight years worth of shows, plenty of shows, and I've never actually fell onstage, so it was really kind of embarrassing."

"I fell down and then I got up and my dancers kind of guided me to keep going," she continued. "I tore some ligaments."

While Spears confirmed that she won't be able to perform at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for a little while, she went on to announce some exciting news.

"The show must go on," began the singer, who originally signed on for two years of her Las Vegas residency, and canceled a booked show for the very first time this past weekend. "[I'm extending the residency] for three months."

As the crowd cheered, Spears took the announcement even further, providing every member of the audience with free tickets to Britney: Piece of Me. Watch the exciting moment (and Spears' tragic fall!) in the video above!
