Rumor: Tom Holland Is Still In Mix For Marvel's 'Spider-Man'
A few days ago, it seemed the hunt for Marvel's Spider-Man was zeroing in on Asa Butterfield ("Hugo," "Ender's Game"), who was declared the frontrunner for the job. But of course, casting rumors tend to be in flux, and one more contender is apparently still in the game.
Tom Holland ("The Impossible," "In The Heart Of The Sea") has joined Butterfield in the final two being considered for the job, according to Devin Faraci of Badass Digest. The 18-year-old actor is certainly in the right age bracket for the studio, who apparently want to go very young in casting the role of Peter Parker, who will be armed with quips, and spend a lot of time in high school if early chatter is anything to go by.

This should all be finalized at some point soon since Spidey is supposed to step into the Marvel-verse in the "Captain America: Civil War," which gets rolling any day...
