It's always great to see films from female directors, which are too few and far between. "Apartment Troubles" features double the bang for your buck, with Jennifer Prediger ("A Teacher") and Jess Weixler ("Teeth") sharing co-screenwriting and co-directing duties on the quirky road movie. The story follows two roommates after they get evicted from their NYC apartment and head west seeking better fortunes. Megan Mullaly, Jeffrey Tambor, and Will Forte offer supporting turns, which is quite the trio of comedy heavyweights.
