'Girls' Star Alex Karpovsky Says The Coen Brothers' 'Hail Caesar!' Is "Zany" Like 'The Hudsucker Proxy'

You probably have to go back to 2008's "Burn After Reading" for the last full-blown, outrageous comedy from the Coen Brothers. "A Serious Man" was more existential in its concerns, "True Grit" was a straight up genre effort, and "Inside Llewyn Davis" was cloaked in beautiful melancholy. But for their star-studded "Hail, Caesar!" it appears the Coens are reaching back to their broader comedy roots, with one of the film's stars referencing one of my personal favorite movies from the sibling directors.
