Guillermo del Toro's 'A Killing on Carnival Row' Comes Back To Life At Amazon
"A Killing On Carnival Row" is something we once named one of the great lost movie projects, one that we figured would never see the light of day. Penned by Travis Beacham all the way back in 2005, it helped him get his foot in the industry door, and the script got a lot of attention. Guillermo del Toro was initially attached, before he moved on and Neil Jordan, and more recently Tarsem Singh, tried to make it happen. Then all went quiet, but it looks like television will be the saving grace for the project, which has fresh new life.
THR reports that Amazon and Legendary are teaming up for "Carnival Row," a TV series take on the material. Del Toro, his "Pacific Rim" pal Beacham, and Rene Echevarria are co-writing the pilot, with plans for del Toro to direct it in the spring before he moves on to "Pacific Rim 2."
