Sweat, Swim, Repeat - Fitness tips from Vishal Sukhwani
1. When did you start training yourself?
I started training when I was 18-years-old. My ultimate goal had always been to remain fit and healthy while I maintain a balance at work and personal life.
2. How do you stay motivated?
I always remind myself of the goals I have set, what I have achieved and am excited about what next.
3. What is your current workout routine?
My current workout routine:
- 1. Five minutes warm-up (skipping, jumping jacks)
- 2. 50 Push-ups
- 3. 30 pull-ups
- 4. 25 squats
Then, I devote each day to different body parts.
Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Back and calves with 15 minutes of cardio after workout.
Wednesday: Chest and Abs
Thursday: rest day
Friday: Arms and triceps and abs
Saturday: Shoulders and 15 minutes of cardio after workout.
4. What is your diet like?
I begin my day by drinking one litre lukewarm water and for breakfast, I mostly take three-four slices of brown bread with egg whites and one glass of juice. I take around five meals in a day so mid-morning, I eat salads. Post that, my lunch is mostly brown rice with lentils or chickpeas with curd. My evening snacks include coffee with two digestive biscuits and I end the day with wholesome dinner which includes either boiled chicken/ vegetables or grilled vegetables or scrambled eggs with vegetables.
5. What gives you the best results when trying to get lean?
For me, it has always been my metabolic rate which stays around 2000.
