Skechers Running shoes
A review of the line up of the Skechers Performance Division running shoes.
Below I have a Bio on my personal running history.
GoRun3: These are the shoes that I use for triathlons. I use these for tempo runs too. They come with an insert that you can add or remove. If you want a little extra cushion for the Ironman 26.2 mile run, use the insert. These shoes are really lightweight without sacrificing the cushion. At size 10.5, they weigh in at under 7 ounces! For 2014, I have added Riplaces. Great in transition to slide right on. They look sleek and the elastic comes in a variety of sizes & colors to fit your preference in how snug you want your shoes. I've been using the Riplaces for the last month and love them! If you want to try them out, you can use code: “ironmatt” for a 10% discount. To find out more go to Riplaces.

Ride3: I use these shoes when I'm hitting the pavement. They provide a little more cushion than the GoRun3 and I would say these are your typical training shoe when you're just out logging miles.

GoBionic Trail: I love these shoes for technical running trails and even hiking. They have a 4mm drop (turn into a 0mm when insole taken out). The GOBionic are really responsive and nimble on your feet maneuvering around rocks and switchbacks. These shoes are surprisingly lightweight with great cushion and superb traction.

Ultra: These shoes have a lot of cushion! They are great for long runs and for running downhill without beating up your legs. I also use these on trails or dirt roads that aren't super technical. These Ultra shoes also have great traction.

Speed: I use the speeds for doing intervals. They are lightweight and really responsive. They don't have a whole lot of cushion but that's what makes these shoe responsive and fast. I race 5k and 10k races in these speedy shoes.

Overall Review: The line up of the Skechers provide great cushioning for how lightweight the shoes are. I feel like they did a great job designing each shoe. They fit the bill for every type of runner. These shoes are durable so you can get some good quality miles in them without break down. Most of the shoes are right around $80 so they won't drain your pocketbook.
