House passes bill on life sentence for sacrilege

Months after series of sacrilege incidents involving desecration of Guru Granth Sahib reported in the state, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday introduced a bill to increase the punishment to life imprisonment for hurting religious sentiments.
