Beefed-up 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro 4WD joins updated lineup

Based on the Tacoma Off-Road 4x4 Double Cab Short Bed model, the TRD Pro version stands apart for its unique exterior treatment that brings projector-beam headlights with black bezels, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), and auto on/off feature taillights with black bezels, TRD Pro badge on front door with diamond-pattern knurled finish, and Black TRD Pro and 4x4 rear tailgate badging.

The truck is equipped with a host of standard convenience features such as a four-way adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and four-way adjustable front passenger seat, Entune Premium Audio with Integrated Navigation and App Suite, leather-trimmed tilt/telescopic steering wheel with audio and Bluetooth hands-free phone controls, rear parking assist sonar, blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA).
Models with automatic transmissions get Toyota's Multi-terrain Select system, with five different modes that help regulate wheel spin by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control.
Equipped only on manual transmission models only is A-TRAC, a 4WD traction control system that uses the four-channel ABS system to control power flow to the front and rear wheels, without cutting throttle input.
All models will ride on standard Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain tires with tough Kevlar sidewall construction and have TRD-tuned front springs with a 1-inch lift, with a rear suspension TRD-tuned progressive-rate off-road leaf spring set-up.
