Buffalo, N.Y. — If Roddy Gayle Jr. didn’t have enough motivation to extend his senior season for as long as possible, he’ll have some in the stands at KeyBank Center. Gayle, a native of Niagara Falls, New York, will have his own personal cheering section on hand when No. 1 seed Michigan faces No. 16 seed Howard in Thursday’s NCAA Tournament opener, which is being played roughly 20 minutes from where he grew up. “I told everybody not to embarrass me in front of my grandma,” Gayle said with a laugh Wednesday.
