John Carroll men’s basketball wins NCAC tournament behind Luke Chicone’s 39 points

It was a weekend that will be long remembered for the John Carroll men’s basketball program. For Luke Chicone, it was an all-time performance, and all-time weekend. On Feb. 28 in the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament championship game, the No. 3 seed Blue Streaks won at top-seeded Denison, 84-66, to clinch the automatic bid to the NCAA Division III men’s tournament. Leading the way again was All-America point guard Chicone, who posted back-to-back 39-point games en route to earning the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award.
