Kirtland vs Madison boys basketball: Hornets finish regular season with 62-51 win

Kirtland didn’t achieve its 19th win of the season until the regional final a year ago. The Hornets had a chance to do so in the regular-season finale with Madison on Feb. 20. Despite a slow first quarter with nine points, the Hornets continued to work. A Ben DiFranco hook shot tied the game going to the half, and a second-half surge led to a 62-51 final.
