District 11 swimming and diving: Parkland, Emmaus boast area’s top performers

There has been no official word from District 11 if its championship meet is being renamed the Parkland Invitational. But there is sure to be an impressive number of Trojans atop and on the medal stand during this weekend’s District 11 Swimming Championships at Parkland High School. Parkland’s boys have won back-to-back Class 3A team titles, and this season’s Trojan team tied Emmaus atop the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference standings with an 8-0-1 record. The Parkland girls have claimed six straight 3A team titles and 16 of the past 17, and coach Allie McPeek’s squad steamrolled to a 9-0 EPC campaign.
