Boys basketball: Fourth-quarter run lifts Alter past Fairmont in crosstown showdown

Basketball is commonly referred to as a game of runs. Anyone watching Alter and Fairmont on Tuesday saw exactly why. Alter’s best streak came at the right time in the fourth quarter to propel the Knights to a 70-61 win at their crosstown rival at Trent Arena.
