Imnemnimi podcast host hospitalized after 15-day hunger strike

ArmInfo.Narek Samsonyan, co-host of the Imnemnimi podcast, was transferred to the "Izmirlian" Medical Center on January 23 following a 15-day hunger strike.  The news was shared by Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition "With Honor" faction.

However, as the MP noted, despite Samsonian's condition, the political persecution against him continues, with all its serious and unpredictable consequences. "Good health to Samsonian and freedom to all political prisoners!" the opposition member concluded.

Samsonyan's lawyer, Ruben Melikyan, has officially appealed the detention extension issued by Judge Manvel Shakhverdyan. Melikyan is also preparing a separate motion to revoke the arrest entirely, citing "new circumstances" regarding the defendant's health and the nature of the case.
