Alpine Skiing: Brainerd’s Grillo hopes to bring many more to state

BRAINERD — Both Brainerd Warriors teams are young, but that doesn’t mean success isn’t in the cards. Only two seniors are on the Brainerd girls’ roster, but they do return all-state skier Piper Grillo to the mix. Last season marked Grillo’s second state meet appearance, but first as a solo individual. The junior skied to an All-State time of 1:20.55 for 18th place. She was in 20th position after her first run of 41.00. She moved up two spots with a 39.46 on her second run for her final time.
