8 days of horse racing will return to Fargo in 2026

BISMARCK — Live horse racing will return to Fargo in 2026 after the North Dakota Horse Racing Commission approved eight days of racing at the North Dakota Horse Park in July. Thursday, Nov. 20, the racing commission unanimously approved eight days of racing from July 7 to Aug. 3 at the Fargo track. Commissioners also granted Chippewa Downs in Belcourt eight days of racing from June 3 through July 5. North Dakota Horse Park General Manager Hugh Alan Drexler said the Fargo track would host racing over four weekends in July as it has done in the past.
