GP South survives Roseville without starting QB to set up rematch in MHSAA playoffs

The nerves dissipated as quickly as they formed on the Grosse Pointe South sidelines. Roseville mounted a furious second-half comeback Saturday afternoon in the first round of Michigan high school football playoffs, erasing a 21-point deficit with three long touchdown passes to standout receiver Milton Standifer. But the final extra point went wide left, giving GPS a 28-27 win in the district semifinals at Grosse Pointe South High School. With 3 minutes left, the Blue Devils' offense, led by backup quarterback Andrew Wilson, picked up one first down, but could not get another.
