Don director Chandra Barot dies at 86 after battling battling pulmonary fibrosis, Farhan Akhtar mourns the loss

Veteran filmmaker Chandra Barot is no more. He breathed his last at the age of 86. The news of his demise was confirmed by his wife Deepa Barot. To Times of India, she revealed that the filmmaker suffering from pulmonary fibrosis. She said, "He had been battling pulmonary fibrosis for the past seven years." Chandra Barot is best known for directing Amitabh Bahchan's Don. Farhan Akhtar who made Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan and is making Don 3 with Ranveer Singh took to social media to mourn the loss.

Farhan Akhtar in his post wrote, "Saddened to learn that the director of the OG Don is no more. RIP Chandra Barot-ji. Deepest condolences to the family."
