ArmInfo. 14-year-old Aren Nazaryan from Artsakh, who spent 40 hours behind the wheel during the forced displacement of the entire Artsakh population, received the "Hot Heart 2025" award at the Russian House in Yerevan on July 10.

Aren Nazaryan is one of the five international laureates of the 2025 award, along with heroes from Egypt, Belarus, Abkhazia and Transnistria. During the event, Aren shared that  for him,  examples of heroism today are those who serve and defend the Motherland.

Vadim Fefilov,  head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Armenia,  noted that during the days when the entire Artsakh population was forced to leave their homes, they were delivering humanitarian aid to Goris and witnessed the very road that Aren had to travel for 40 hours.

Father Shmavon, the representative of the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, recalled that the Gospel states - there is no greater love than  being willing to sacrifice one's life. In this vein, he emphasized that Aren's decision is already an act of self-sacrifice.

The co-director of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center, Alexey Butyrsky,  emphasized that in Russia, people who perform heroic deeds, who are not indifferent to the grief of others and are ready to come to the rescue have always been revered. "Aren, you are a true defender and hero of our time. Your actions exemplify courage and heroism," Butyrsky emphasized.

The "Warm Heart" national social state initiative is a project by the Sociocultural Initiatives Fund, implemented since November 2013. Its goal is to seek out examples of heroic and courageous acts, readiness to selflessly help others, bravery in overcoming difficult life situations, and acknowledging them with public recognition and gratitude.
