New Captain America Hates…America

You can’t make this stuff up, Captain America rejects the notion that Captain America represents AMERICA.

I’ve heard a lot of dumb things from Hollywood actors over the years but this next one might take the cake. 

Anthony Mackie, the actor who portrays Captain America himself in the new film, told the press in Rome that “Captain America represents a lot of different things, and I don’t think the term ‘America’ should be one of those representations.”

So what did he mean by that? 

Well he went on to say the film, Captain America, is  “about a man who keeps his word, who has honor, dignity and integrity. Someone who is trustworthy and dependable.”

Apparently, to Mackie, America cannot be described as a place of honor, dignity, integrity and so on and so forth.

That is a pretty bold and brazen thing to say as an actor who was given the honor and privilege of portraying the iconic Captain AMERICA.

Is there any wonder these films are flubbing so badly at the box office?!
