NEDRA: A new horror game by an Armenian developer

David Andreasyan, the game designer of Inmates, has developed a new horror game NEDRA - a story-driven adventure game with rich atmosphere and struggle for survival.

In an interview with Itel.am, David Andreasyan said that he created the game on his own over the course of five years.

The game is set in an abandoned Soviet-era research station in Antarctica. Players take on the role of Arthur and must explore the station and uncover its chilling secrets, fighting off attacking zombies and aliens, and struggling to survive by maintaining the right body temperature.

“The game incorporates stealth mechanics tied to body temperature. The actions take place in a cold environment (-65 to -80 degrees). Monsters detect the player only when the body temperature is normal, but if the player is on the verge of hypothermia, they do not notice him. The challenge lies in maintaining the correct thermal balance to avoid freezing to death. In addition, Arthur also needs to search for ammunition and various tools to navigate the dangers that await him around every corner,” the author of the game noted.

Andreasyan added that this is just one of the game’s features, as the players will also be captivated by the plot developments, providing an interesting experience.

“The game is set to launch on Steam in the second quarter of 2025, with plans to gradually introduce it to other platforms as well,” said David.
