Pushpa 2 box office collection day 28: Allu Arjun’s film witnesses a massive boost on New Year, mints in double digits

Pushpa 2: The Rule hit the theatres on December 5. Allu Arjun's fans were waiting for this movie for a very long time. As the film hit theatres, fans showered love in abundance. The box office collection of the movie is taking up space in the headlines as it is breaking one record after the other. Even on the 28th day of its release, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer managed to hit the double digit numbers at the box office. As per a report in BusinessToday.in, Pushpa 2: The Rule did a business of Rs 13.15 crore, i.e., on its fourth Wednesday in India. It witnessed a jump in numbers as on fourth Tuesday, the film collected Rs 7.7 crore. It showed a massive grown. It was also because fourth Wednesday was a holiday as it was January 1. Yet, the numbers are astounding. As per the report, Allu Arjun's film's total collection in India Rs 1,184 crore. It is currently among the highest grossing films in India.

Even with its worldwide collection, Pushpa 2: The Rule has become the second highest grossing Indian film. It has now managed to beat Prabhas-starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Reports in entertainment news suggest that the worldwide collection of the film is Rs 1788 crore by the end of fourth Monday. Now, the film is chasing the record set by Aamir Khan's movie Dangal. The film based on Geeta and Babita Phogat did a business of Rs 2000 crore plus. It is being anticipated that Pushpa 2: The Rule will be able to break this record soon given by the pace at which it is minting money at the box office.

Pushpa 2 controversy

While the box office numbers are phenomenal, Pushpa 2: The Rule star Allu Arjun got mired in a controversy on the day of its release. Allu Arjun was present at Sandhya theatre to catch the premiere of the film and the crowd gathered to get a glimpse of him. Stampede took place in which a woman died and a child got injured. A case got filed against him and he was arrested. Later, Allu Arjun was granted bail.
