Sunny Leone listed ‘beneficiary’ of Chhattisgarh government cash dole? Here’s what we know
Sunny Leone has been in the news and we have heard some really weird stories around the actress. A few days ago, there has been a story about a student from Bihar went viral after he listed her as his mother on his examination form and Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi as his father. Now, another interesting thing has come out. There is a fraud in a Chhattisgarh government scheme for married women that happened. A man allegedly opened an account in the name of Sunny Leone.
He had been pocketing the sum of Rs 1,000 deposited in it every month. This is the BJP government's Mahtari Vandan Yojana where married women in Chhattisgarh receive Rs 1,000 into their accounts every month. Some amount has been deposited in Sunny Leone's name.
However, the man who opened this account has been been identified. His name is Virendra Joshi and a case is being registered against him for further action. The officials who are responsible for the verification of eligible beneficiaries of the scheme are also being identified. The fraud happened at Talur village in Chhattisgarh's Bastar region.
District collector Haris S has asked the Women and Child Development Department to investigate in this matter. He has asked them to seize the bank account for recovery. It was through media reports that they came to know about this fraud.
This matter has brought in a heated exchange between the ruling BJP and the Opposition Congress. State Congress chief Deepak Baij said that 50 per cent of beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are fake.
Talking about Sunny Leone, she is an actress, entrepreneur, reality TV judge and now a DJ. She rose to fame post her stint in Bigg Boss 5.
