Senator Rick Scott: I Want Someone Like Pete Hegseth Running The DOD Because He Understands The Risks Of War

Senator Rick Scott spoke to Brian Kilmeade about his recent meetings with Trump cabinet picks Pete Hegseth and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Scott says he wants someone like Hegseth running the DOD because he knows what it is like to be in harms way, has seen the cost of war and knows the risks of war. On RFK Jr., Scott believes he will do a great job because he understands HHS is health first and will focus on keeping people healthy. Scott agrees with RFK Jr. on needing more transparency with regard to vaccines, giving people the information needed for informed decisions. Scott added, “RFK Jr. is pro-vaccine and pro-information.”

Turing to the Republican agenda for 2025 in the Senate, Scott wants to get the border done now, adding more money for border agents, the wall and technology. After that is done, Scott wants to hit on extending the Trump tax cuts and the additional tax reductions that President Trump wants done.
