Sandeep Reddy Vanga hits back at Javed Akhtar for comments on Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, 'If he wasn't a lyricist...'

Among those who have slammed the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, one of them is Javed Akhtar. Often, the lyricist-writer has expressed his dislike for the 2023 blockbuster. Sandeep Reddy Vanga strongly reacted to his remarks in the past. Recently, Javed again slammed the makers and said they're 'perverts' for making Animal.

On Indian Idol 15, a contestant named Myscmme praised the movie, while another contestant, Manasi, criticised it. Manasi even went on to say how Javed Akhtar also didn't like the movie, as he said earlier, it was dangerous for society. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who doesn't mince words, reacted to Manasi's statement, "If Javed Ji wasn't a lyricist or story writer, I'd take his words seriously."

Further in this entertainment news, this is Sandeep's second Hindi film and it has been slammed by some people. Similar reactions were seen for his 2018 superhit film Kabir Singh (a remake of Arjun Reddy) which stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. Meanwhile, Animal became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2023 and earned at least Rs 900 crores at the box office. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, the film also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri. A sequel to the film titled Animal Park is already confirmed.
