Comedian Sunil Pal is not missing, Mumbai police reveals why his phone was unreachable

Comedian and actor Sunil Pal was earlier reported to be missing for the last 24 hours. His wife reached the Santacruz Police Station in Mumbai to file a missing person complaint. The popular comedian had traveled outside Mumbai for a show and had informed his wife that he would return home on Tuesday. After repeated attempts to contact her husband, his wife decided to seek help of the police. Police started investigating the case further and the information about the comedian was being gathered from people he was close to.

Well, in the latest development, the comedian had connected with Mumbai police. The comedian's phone malfunction was the reason behind the incident.

Here's what happened

As per Sunil Pal's wife, the well-known comedian had gone out of Mumbai to perform a show and had informed his wife about his return. She was unable to connect to him and his phone was switched off for several hours. She immediately rushed to the police station and the cops started looking into the matter. Santacruz police were able to regain contact with Sunil and the comedian informed that he would return to Mumbai on Wednesday.

Sunil gained a lot of recognition after he won The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2005. He also did small roles in Bollywood films like Hum Tum and Phir Hera Pheri. He is a well-known Indian comedian, actor and voice actor. Sunil wrote and directed a comedy film Bhavnao Ko Samjho in 2010 which also featured other comedians including Siraj Khan, Johnny Lever, Raju Srivastav, Kapil Sharma, Navin Prabhakar, Ahsaan Qureshi, Sudesh lehri and others.

A few days ago, Sunil voiced his opinion about dissatisfaction with Kapil Sharma's transition to Netflix. He even criticized Sunil Grover's portrayal of a woman on the show and called it cheap and vulgar.
