Lazio’s Lotito and Fabiani reportedly plan for a transfer meeting over the weekend.
This weekend, a crucial meeting is anticipated between Fabiani and Lotito to discuss the future plans for Lazio’s transfer market.
According to Il Messaggero, the primary focus of the discussion will be the acquisition of a new midfielder. This is intended to give manager Baroni the flexibility to alternate between the 4-3-3 formation, as seen against Monza, and his preferred 4-2-3-1.
The name at the top of the manager’s wishlist is Folorunsho. However, the club remains firm on the offer they made to Napoli back in August for a loan with an option to buy.
An alternative to Folorunsho, who came through Lazio’s youth system, is Zeljkovic, a young talent under the age of 22. This aligns with the sporting director’s strategy to navigate the current roster restrictions without having to exclude any players.
The club is also considering the inclusion of Castrovilli, who has already been left out of the Europa League squad. “Barring any setbacks in his recovery, the club is keen not to omit him,” a source close to the situation reported.
Finally, the meeting will address the situation surrounding Daniel Maldini, who has been linked with the Biancocelesti. “Maldini did not convince Fabiani after his recent league performance,” noted an insider.
